SKINFOOD Rice Brightening Serum combines rice-inspired skin care with modern actives for skin lacking smoothness, hydration and an even appearance. The formula primarily targets visible pores, rough texture and a dull or uneven-looking complexion, while replenishing the skin with lightweight moisture.
At the heart of the formula is Rice Pore Complex, SKINFOOD's blend of rice-derived ingredients including rice extract, rice bran water, rice seed water, hydrolyzed rice protein and a complex of 17 different amino acids. Together, these ingredients condition and hydrate the skin while supporting a smoother-looking surface and improving the overall appearance of pores.
The formula also contains niacinamide, a multifunctional ingredient that helps promote a more even-looking complexion, supports the skin barrier and contributes to smoother, brighter-looking skin. Gluconolactone (PHA) provides gentle surface exfoliation to help remove accumulated dead skin cells, while the protease enzyme further supports the softening of surface buildup. Together, they can help refine rough texture and reveal a fresher, clearer-looking complexion.
Additional care comes from dipotassium glycyrrhizate, a licorice-derived ingredient valued for its soothing properties, alongside betaine, glycerin, trehalose and other humectants that help maintain moisture. Rice is represented by more than a single extract in this formula. The INCI includes Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract, Rice Bran Water, Rice Seed Water and Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, alongside 17 amino acids and a fermented ingredient.
The formula also contains Aspergillus Ferment. According to the manufacturer's product materials, its rice fermentation process involves Aspergillus luchuensis and a 48-hour fermentation stage before the fermented material is extracted.

How to use
- After cleansing and, if desired, toning, apply a moderate amount of serum to the face.
- Gently spread it along the skin's texture and massage or pat until absorbed.
- Follow with moisturizer.
